Zo-rub hp is indicated for the symptomatic relief of neuralgia following herpes zoster infections (post-herpetic neuralgia) after open skin lesions have healed. For the symptomatic management of medically diagnosed painful diabetic peripheral polyneuropathy. Zo-rub HP cream is used to relieve the pain arising from nerves near to the surface of the skin. This pain often follows herpes zoster (shingles) after the sores have healed. Zo-rub HP cream is also used to relieve the pain suffered by diabetic patients with peripheral polyneuropathy, (damage to the nerves to the limbs).
Zo-rub hp cream contains capsaicin (0.075%) as active ingredient, a naturally occurring substance found in plants of the solanaceae family. Zo-rub HP cream has a topical analgesic effect. It is thought that it works by reducing levels of a chemical (substance p), which is involved in transmitting pain impulses to the brain.
Adults: Apply Zo-Rub HP cream to the affected area 3-4 times daily.
Avoid contact with the eyes or broken or damaged skin.
Do not bandage tightly. Not recommended for use on children.
If condition does not improve after 28 days, or if condition worsens, or clears up and then recurs within a few days, discontinue use of this product and consult your physician.
Product contains benzyl alcohol as preservative. External use only. Keep out of reach of children.
